カボチャを植えました!
今年の秋のハロウィンに向けて、カボチャを植えました。 これまでの３年間、有り難い事にアメリカから種を送ってもらえていて、更に有り難い 事にカボチャを育てられるような大きな場所もおかりすることができています。 今年は４５本もの苗植えをしたので、今年も生徒さん達に十分にカボチャがお渡しでき るし、とても素敵なジャコランタンにしてくれるはず♪ 自分で作ったJack o’ Lanternに明かりをともした時の歓声、忘れられません！ 大変な苗植え、水やり、草取り、肥料やりなどなど、全てが報われる瞬間なのです♪ 今からとっても楽しみなのです。待ち遠しいですね！
Today we were able to plant our little pumpkin seedlings in preparation for our annual Halloween party in October. For the past three years we have been lucky enough to have seeds from the U.S. sent to us (thanks Mom!) and lucky enough to find a big field to plant enough pumpkins. We planted about 45 plants, so we should have plenty of pumpkins for our students to make tons of wonderful Jack O’ Lanterns. It is always great seeing their faces light up when they finish carving their first Jack O’ Lantern. It makes all the work of planting, weeding, fertilizing and watering the plants worth it. We can’t wait.
